Supply Chain Management Platform

Service Design, Ecosystem & Journey Mapping.

Created a shared mental model across multiple Design, Product, and Engineering squads for current and future state platform experience. Established an evergreen ecosystem artifact used to guide roadmap decisions and leadership storytelling across a complex compliance landscape.

Assent

Ecosystem – main
Context

Assent’s supply chain compliance platform served multiple audiences—customers, suppliers, and internal teams—but the experience was fragmented. Teams worked in silos, with no shared view of the end-to-end journey or where tools, data, and responsibilities intersected.

My Role

UX Architect (Principal Designer): end-to-end ownership of ecosystem mapping, journey definition, and cross-team alignment.

Design Work
  • Mapped the  Assent ecosystem across users, tools, touchpoints, and data flows
  • Visualized end-to-end journeys to surface handoffs, dependencies, and friction points
  • Defined core experience areas to clarify ownership and focus
  • Facilitated cross-functional workshops to align teams on direction and opportunities
Impact
  • Created a shared mental model across Design, Product, and Engineering
  • Aligned teams around the full customer-to-supplier journey, not isolated touchpoints
  • Turned the ecosystem map into a living artifact used for roadmap planning, onboarding, and leadership storytelling
  • Enabled more coherent, intentional decision-making across a complex compliance platform
What Changed

Before, teams designed from partial views of the system—optimizing individual areas without a shared understanding of how customers, suppliers, and internal workflows connected.

After, the ecosystem map created a shared frame of reference. Conversations shifted from isolated features to end-to-end journeys, making friction, dependencies, and ownership visible.

The map became more than documentation. It grounded roadmap discussions, supported onboarding, and helped leaders tell a clear story about where the platform was heading—turning complexity into something teams could reason about and evolve together.
